Are you in Gratitude?

Sometimes things get a little tough. If you are challenged by your focus always being on negativity then here’s a simple exercise that you can do that will highlight not all in your life is doom and gloom.

To keep your Focus on what you can be thankful for get a little notebook and carry it around with you. From the time you wake up in the morning to the time you go to bed make a note of everything that is going RIGHT in your life.

EVERYTHING…

  • My alarm clock worked
  • The electricity is on
  • The hot water tank is warming the water
  • I feel healthy (don’t write “I’m not sick”)
  • My kids are healthy
  • The plumbing works
  • The refridge is still cooling
  • The microwave works!
  • The garage door opener is working
  • The car started right up
  • The Snow plows got my street cleared early
  • My newspaper was delivered on time
  • My son gave me a hug for no reason
  • My spouse made me breakfast
  • My parents are healthy
  • The computer is working
  • Email is flowing

You get the idea.

By making this list you will soon see that when you stop to think about it, there really is a LOT to be thankful for in your life. If you focus on being in gratitude and everything that is right in your life the “Law of Attraction” has no option than to send you more of the same.

More of the same that you can be grateful for…..

An interesting thing happens when you are grateful - even if it is only for the things you notice - everything thats right expands. Cool.

The Fortune is in the Followup

If I was paid a dollar for everytime I heard my network marketing upline support team say that….. well I would definitely be more wealthy.

Increase your residual income by doing the stuff that counts - the fortune is in the follow up

I’m sad to say it took years before I understood the true meaning of that simple phrase - The Fortune is in the Followup.

Here’s what I discovered …..

It’s not about

  • selling them something else or
  • checking to make sure everything is okay

It’s all about

  • building a solid and lasting relationship

The Fortune Is In The Relationship

Perhaps if I had been told The Fortune is in the Relationship I would have gotten it sooner. You see people don’t care how much you know and they certainly don’t care at all until they know how much you care.

In a nutshell what they care about is what’s in it for them !!

And the only way you are going to present to them what’s in it for them [their solution] is to ask them questions and listen to their answers. I mean really listen to their answers so you can uncover their problems - the things that keep them awake at night.

When You Have Discovered Their Problem

When you have uncovered their problem you can offer the solution. To some degree it is about education. I don’t mean back the truck up and dump on them and tell them everything you know. What I’m talking about is using the “duct tape” and give them enough infomation so they can make an informed decision and take responsibility for the direction they take for themselves.

Using 3rd party information or 3 Way-Calling is by far the most efficient way to do this. Your prospect gets to experience first hand “your system”. And just as important this also shows your prospect that they don’t have to be the “expert” to be successul.

Effective Follow-Up Needs A System

To do this effectively you need to either have a very good memory or a very good follow-up system so you can record the important points about the discussion you have had with your prospect. When they tell you what their “hopes dreams and aspirations” you better have a way to record and recall that information effectively and efficiently if you want to have any sort of success in network marketing. Period!!

I tried many different systems before I found the Oprius Contact Manager. Some I paid big dollars for. Others were free. And none have given me what Oprius Contact Manager has.

At first I ummed and arrhed about the monthly fee. But now in hindsight I wonder why I ever gave it a thought because the Oprius Contact Manager has made me way more money than I have ever spent on the modest monthly maintenance fee.

How to Overcome Call Reluctance

Usually if you have call reluctance or suffer anything from sweaty palms to to absolute terror when you think about picking up the phone to tell your friend or prospect about your MLM business opportunity/product it’s because you are not comfortable with what you are offering or don’t believe it has value to the person you are offering it to.

To explode your business you must do th 1 percenters

I used to be in this space - it sucks because until you can overcome your call reluctance your network marketing business will not grow all that quickly.

This is what my coach and mentor taught me.

He told me I needed to re-frame or couch my offer to be a solution to a problem rather than flogging a product.

For example

Let’s say your best friend just had their car stolen and when it was located by police it was a burnt out wreck. Your friend who is a solo parent and shift worker/nurse has no car. They desperately need to get another because without it they cannot get to work without one. You remember your neighbor is selling a low mileage, full service history, top condition sedan which would be perfect for your friend at what you consider to be bargain basement price.

Do you think you would be phoning your friend with excitement and anticipation that you [as their friend] had maybe found a solution to their problem - no car.

I bet my last dollar you would!!

Look For The Solution To Their Problem

Can you see that by being in service to your friend to find a solution to their problem - no car - the call you will make to them about the car your neighbor is selling has moved to one of anticipation and excitement because you may have found a solution to their problem.  Can you see you are also offering them a solution that in your eyes is something of great value. It’s also pretty exclusive. It’s unlikely there will be another vehicle this good at this price in the market being offered by your neighbor who you know and trust.

By reframing the reason for the call from something that benefits you to offering a solution to a problem they have - you are offering value - And you’ll have no call reluctance.

It’s Just A Fantasy Anyway

The call reluctance you are experiencing is actually all in your head. A fantasy if you will. I mean the person you are calling doesn’t know about your “call reluctance”

If you think about it you will also see “the offer of a solution” is also a fantasy because the person you are calling doesn’t know about it yet either.

So which fantasy are you going to go with?

I reckon your friend would never forget and would always appreciate that you had chosen the fantasy that helped them solve their problem!! So why not go with that one.

Everyone has Problems….

You just have to be in a space to see or hear them [more on that in another post]. So let’s move on to offering your MLM or network marketing opportunity to your friend. If you all of a sudden got “sweaty palms” and a feeling of “absolute terror” at the thought of doing this then I suggest you look at what you are offering.

Lets run through the check points again.

  • Are you in service or are you selling?
  • Are you offering a solution to a problem they may have or are you flogging a product?
  • Are you in your eyes offering something of great value?
  • Are you offering something exclusive?

How and Why You Should Master 3 Way Calling

A Smart Way to Leverage Your Time

WHY 3-WAY CALLING?

In a word LEVERAGE. For Network Marketer’s it is AN ABSOLUTE MUST.

3 Way Calling (also known as 3-Way Chat) is one of the simplest, smartest ways of leveraging your time and is an essential communication, training and prospecting tool.

For the novice network marketer learning/mastering the simple skill of 3-Way Calling maybe the difference between success and failure. Put your recruiting into “Top Gear”

WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?

Put your recruiting into top gear by learning 3-way calling
  • It allows the novice direct access the knowledge of the Sponsor/Expert so he or she can give a product and opportunity presentation, answer questions and handle objections. Even though they maybe located in different country or city.
  • The novice can listen and learn in real-life situations.
  • The novice can earn while they learn.
  • It instils confidence in the novice and the prospect.
  • It demonstrates to the prospect, the support system that is available.

Once you become accustomed to using it, you’ll find 3-way calling is so simple to use. Importantly it is the most duplicable way to grow your business FAST!!

HOW TO MAKE A 3-WAY CALL

Step 1

  1. Press the RECALL Button [may also be flash/talk/3-way call]
  2. Wait for Dial Tone
  3. Dial the number of your Sponsor/Upline Expert
  4. Wait for him/her to answer

Step 2

  1. When your Sponsor/Expert answers the phone, tell him/her that you have your “Prospect” on the line an that you are about to connect all three of you
  2. Press the RECALL Button*
  3. Wait for Dial Tone
  4. Press number 3 on keypad
  5. Confirm that all three of you are now connected

Step 3

  1. Introduce your Prospect to your Sponsor/Expert. This is best done by powerfully “edifying” them. This process sets up the credibility. The more powerfully this step is done the more success you will have.ie “…[prospects name]… thanks for holding. I’d like you to introduce you to …[upline name...]…[upline name]… is my coach/mentor/partner. [give a thumbnail outline of why your prospect should sit up and take notice] He/she is very successful in the business, and will be much more capable of answering your questions. ..[upline name]…please meet…[upline name]..”
  2. The novice, now puts on the “duct tape” - shut up, listen and learn!

TIPS:

  • Practice these skills with your upline and become proficient using 3-way calling before using it with a real live prospect.
  • EDIFY YOUR UPLINE - this creates rapport/credibility so your prospect will be in a space of “listening” to every word from you upline/expert. It’s a well know fact that we, as people, only every purchase goods and/or services from someone we KNOW, LIKE and TRUST.
  • Establish the times your Upline/Expert will be available for 3-way calls
  • When calling a ‘Key Prospect’ it is always a good idea for the novice to have the Upline/Expert already on the call. This shows respect and professionalism to your prospect.
